New York, you the heart of the world,
To describe you, there is no appropriate word :
New York, I walked in your streets.
They made me feel unique.
If I can make it here,
I can make it anywhere, now I see!
Your 1 World TRADE and your Empire State,
A ladder to the universe, a symbol of what humans possible made;
Your Times Square, the brightest fire in the night,
Personifying fun, entertainment, culture in one sight:
Your Hudson River, the gate to the 7 seas,
A pleasure for every eye that it sees;
Your Central Park, the breathing soul of the city;
And of course your Statue of Liberty,
Symbol not only of freedom in the world,
But also proof for the fact that "impossible" is in an untrue word
For you made breathe the most impossible dreams
Cause you made the most disillusioned hearts again believe,
When millions of desperate hearts came to find new hope,
You made these hearts hope.
From rags to riches, the American dream,
Whoever came, no matter how lost he/she seemed.
New York, you are home to everyone,
This probably why everyone for you is so full of love.
